Dill flowers are beautiful in cut flower arrangements. Or wait until they form seed pods and turn dry. Shake them out over a paper bag to harvest seeds.
Dill matures quickly which is great for bouquets. Sow more seeds every three weeks and you’ll always have fresh dill for the kitchen.
Planting Information: Direct sow in full sun/part shade when temps are mild. It prefers full sunlight, even full Texas sun, though it can tolerate partial shade. Protect from strong winds. It prefers well-drained soil though isn’t picky about soil quality. It likes to be moist but not wet. Sow dill seeds directly into the garden about 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep and spaced 2-4 inches apart. If planting in rows, space the rows about a foot apart. Dill can also be successfully grown in containers, provided they are at least 18 inches deep to accommodate the plant’s long taproot.
